Ease on down the Road!!

How many times have we heard "This ain't no Oz?" Well the lower grades (1,2,3,4,5) are preparing to sing and dance in the Land of Oz. The students are engaged and enthralled in our version      of the musical play "The Wiz."  

Actually all the talk about the Land of Oz has sparked student curiosity and conversations about the similarities of "The Wiz" and "The Wizard of Oz." Many of the younger students have never heard of either productions. One first grader found this wonderful book at the library. 

Also, I was able to get a copy of "The Wiz" CD, and the music classes have been viewing it to compare to our performance on May 20, 2014. 

Can you guess the date of the original Broadway production of "The Wiz?"
